Development of the Young Child
At Mumma’s Early Learning Center, our program is carefully designed to include developmentally appropriate activities that promote growth in all areas of early childhood development, particularly for children ages 2-5. Our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) curriculum is integrated throughout daily activities, allowing young learners to explore, experiment, and discover in creative ways.
Key Developmental Activities Include:
- Science Exploration: Through hands-on activities such as plant growth experiments, nature walks, and life science lessons, children develop curiosity about the natural world. They engage in simple scientific processes like observing, questioning, and predicting.
- Technology: While we emphasize hands-on exploration, children also have access to age-appropriate digital tools that support early learning concepts, such as interactive apps for shapes, colors, and numbers, promoting early tech skills in a balanced manner.
- Engineering & Problem-Solving: Children build and create with blocks, simple construction sets, and real-world materials, fostering fine motor skills, spatial awareness, and problem-solving abilities. Activities like building structures or designing solutions to everyday challenges enhance critical thinking.
- Arts: Creative expression is a big part of our program. Children enjoy painting, drawing, music, and dramatic play to nurture their imagination and develop emotional expression. Art also helps refine fine motor skills, such as hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
- Mathematics: Early math skills are embedded in everyday activities like sorting, counting, measuring, and recognizing patterns. These activities help children develop foundational numeracy skills and a love for learning about numbers and shapes.
By offering a balanced mix of engaging STEAM activities, we ensure that children develop not only academic skills but also social, emotional, and physical abilities that set them up for success in school and life.

Young children naturally explore the world around them, and we provide opportunities for them to delve into hands-on experiments, creative arts, outdoor exploration, and more. Whether it’s studying plant growth in our farm school setting, building with blocks to foster problem-solving skills, or engaging in simple science experiments, our children are constantly encouraged to explore and discover.
In addition to STEAM activities, our daily routine includes opportunities for language development, physical activity, and social skills building. Activities like reading, singing, group play, and outdoor games help develop communication, teamwork, and motor skills, all while fostering independence and self-confidence.

Qualified Educator
As a certified provider with over 30 years of experience working with children from newborn to 18 years old, I am committed to fostering creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning in each child. With multiple degrees in Early Childhood Education and Birth through Kindergarten Education, along with certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration, I ensure a safe, supportive setting where every child can thrive.
Environment
At Mumma’s Early Learning Center, we create a warm and loving family childcare home where children feel safe, valued, and supported. Our dedicated school room offers developmentally appropriate opportunities that promote growth in all areas—cognitive, social, emotional, and physical. Located within a farm school, our students have the unique opportunity to learn about plant growth, life science, and more as part of our enriched AG/ STEAM curriculum. The outdoor environment is equally engaging, featuring a waterplay area, gardening beds, and space for exploration, allowing children to connect with nature and deepen their understanding of the world around them.
Enrollment
At Mumma’s Early Learning Center, we offer flexible childcare options to suit the needs of both children and parents.
- Full-Time Care: We are open Tuesday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our full-time care program is available for $100 per week, providing a consistent and nurturing environment for your child to thrive.
- Mother’s Day Out Enrichment Program: For moms who need a break to run errands or take time for themselves or for Moms who wish to give there children an extra boost on development, our Mother’s Day Out Program is perfect! This program is available two days a week from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at $30 per day. It provides children ages 2-5 with an opportunity to explore an enriching curriculum focused on early childhood agriculture and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
